The Scriptures are inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind. The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because the Bible is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error. The Bible is the supreme and final authority for faith and life.
2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:20, 21; 2 Tim. 1:13; Ps. 119:105,160; 12:6; Prov. 30:5
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. There is Only One True God revealed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God, having precisely the same nature, attributes, and perfection.
Gen. 1:1, 26, 27 and 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matt. 28:19; 1 Pet. 1:2; 2 Cor. 13:14
In the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ as God’s son; Jesus was both human and divine. Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven’s glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
We believe in (a) His eternal existence as God, (b) His Incarnation and Virgin Birth, (c) His sinless life, (d) His death on the cross as the substitutionary atonement for sins, (e) His literal, bodily resurrection from the dead, (f) His present ministry of intercession in heaven, and (g) His personal, future return to earth.
Matt. 1:22,23; Isa. 9:6; John 1:1-5, 14:10-30; Heb. 4:14,15
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with the power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Holy Spirt gives every believer a spiritual gift/gifts when they are saved to be able to do the supernatural work of the Lord they are called to. It is by His power that the believer has the ability to walk in their gifts. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily. We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts men of sin, regenerates, baptizes, indwells, seals, and sets apart believers unto a holy life; that He keeps and empowers believers day by day; that He is the Teacher of the Word of God and the Guide for daily living.
2 Cor. 3:17; John 16:7-13; 14:16; Acts 1:8; 1 Cor. 2:12, 3:16; Eph. 1:13; Gal. 5:25; Eph. 5:18
People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although every person was created for a relationship with God, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin.” This depraved attitude separates people from the relationship that God intended for us to have with Him.
We believe that (a) man was created innocent and pure, and (b) Adam fell through the sin of disobedience. Therefore, (c) all men are corrupted in body, soul, and spirit; and (d) all men need redemption. Only through faith, trusting in Christ alone for salvation which was made possible by His death and resurrection, can that separation be removed.
Gen. 1:27; Psa. 8:3-6; Isa. 53:6a; Rom. 3:23; Is. 59:1,2
Every Person Can Have Restored Fellowship with God Through ‘Salvation’ by accepting Christ’s offer of forgiveness for sin. Salvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must receive it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith, we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.
We believe that (a) salvation is by grace, a free gift of God apart from works, (b) salvation involves repentance, a turning from one’s own way to God’s way, (c) salvation is through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, (d) all who receive Jesus Christ are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and become the children of God, and (e) true salvation will be manifested by a changed life. We testify to our salvation through Water Baptism by Immersion and Holy Communion.
Rom. 6:23; Eph. 2:8 - 9; John 14:6; 1:12; John 24:14; John 3:16 Titus 3:5; Gal. 3:26; Rom. 5:1; Rom. 3:23-25
Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the true believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. If you have been genuinely saved, you cannot “lose” it. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives us this security.
John 10:29; 2 Tim. 1:12; Heb. 7:25; 10:10, 14; 1 Pet. 1:3-5
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a special experience following Salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times.
Acts 1:5; Math. 3:1; Mark 1:8
As Christ Followers we have a mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin as Jesus commanded in Mathew 28:19 to “Go and make Disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.”
We believe ‘the Church’ is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God's offer of redemption through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.
1 Corin 12:12-31; Romans 12:4-5; 1 Peter 4:10-11
A Divinely Called and Scripturally Ordained Ministry serves the Church. The Bible teaches that each of us must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, to worship Him with other believers, and to build up or edify the body of believers of the Church.
We believe Divine Healing of the Sick is a Privilege for Christians Today. We see miraculous healing throughout scripture. We know healing is provided for in Christ’s atonement.
Ex. 15:26; Jer. 30:17; James 5:14-15; 1 Pet. 2:24; Heb. 13:8; Math. 8:16-17; John 14:12-14
The Imminent Return of Jesus Christ - At this future moment in time all believers who have died will rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air, and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them, to be with the Lord forever.
Math. 24:42-44; Math. 25:13; 1 Thess. 4:14-18; 1 Thess 5:2; 2 Pet 4:7
In the Millennial Reign of Christ -This is a time when Jesus returns with His saints at His second coming and begins His benevolent rule over earth for one thousand years. This millennial reign will bring the salvation of national Israel and the establishment of universal peace. Rev. 20:4-6
A Final Judgment Will Take Place -This judgment will be for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment in the lake of fire.
Rev 20:11-15; Math 25:31-46
